[BDP-103/103D/105/105D] Using the Multi-Channel Analogue Outputs in a Stereo Configuration

Modified on Mon, 24 Dec, 2018 at 4:13 PM

Unlike the BDP-105AU, the BDP-103AU does not have a set of dedicated stereo RCA outputs. However, the FL and FR terminals of the 7.1 channel analogue output section can be programmed to function as a dedicated stereo output.

1. Go to the Setup Menu and select Audio Processing.

2. Select Speaker Configuration.

3. Press either the right or left arrow button until Down Mix is highlighted.

4. From the list of options, select Stereo.

Once this setting is selected, audio from 2-channel sources will be output normally through the FL and FR terminals, and audio from multi-channel sources will be down-mixed to stereo and output through the FL and FR terminals.

Note: this setting only affects audio through the analogue outputs; you will still be able to output multi-channel audio via HDMI.
